Smith College maintains policies and key practices pertaining to the use of Smith information technology resources, including hardware, software, applications, accounts, networks, and any other computing resources or infrastructure provided or supported by the college.
This policy outlines the behaviors, practices, expectations, and requirements for all who use Smith’s technology resources. All Smith affiliates are required to affirm their agreement with this policy annually. Those who do not will lose access to their Smith account.
When new computer models are released by Dell or Apple, or new software is released by our approved vendors, Information Technology Services (ITS) makes the new hardware or software available to Smith faculty and staff only after it has been thoroughly tested for compatibility with the Smith computing environment.
