To request support for an event or meeting, or report an issue with an event or meeting space, select the button below to submit a ticket.
The support request is submitted at least two weeks in advance
The event is planned for a space that has the necessary technology
You can identify a point person who can work with us in advance to plan the support you need for your event and who can be present for the event at least fifteen minutes prior to the start time
We do not already have support commitments that mean we can’t help you at the requested time
Your event is held within our support hours and doesn’t overlap with back to school timeframes or reunion and commencement
We will not be able to provide support for requests that come in with less than two weeks (10 business days) notice
Our support is primarily for events related to academic departments, administrative offices, and outside events that have been coordinated in advance with the college’s Events Management office. In some cases, we may also be able to provide support for other groups and purposes, but that support will be limited.
Support requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis
In cases where we have to choose between competing support requests, we will prioritize classes
We are not staffed for live streaming and videography and will have very limited capacity for these kinds of support requests
Smith community members can request to reserve spaces for meetings and events through 25Live. For helpful information on getting started, visit 25Live Basics.
These guidelines are effective as of August 2024, following an extended management review that took place in academic year 2023–24. We’re grateful to the classroom committee, the committee on educational technology, our partners in the provost’s office, campus planning, events management, the library, alumnae relations and development, and to campus life for consulting with us—these guidelines will help us provide you with the best support possible.
