Moodle is Smith’s Learning Management System. Instructors are encouraged to enroll in this self-guided introductory course to learn the basics of Moodle. The course includes five modules featuring instructional videos with steps on how to set up your course, how to add resources, how to create assignments, and how to grade.
For additional help materials, visit Moodle Docs.
Visit the Workday Help Center, which includes hundreds of articles on topics relevant to staff, faculty, and students. Whether you’re registering for classes, requesting time off, or entering final grades, you can follow step-by-step instructions to complete your task.
We also offer Community Training and Help sessions (conducted via Zoom) to staff throughout the year. These are an excellent opportunity to ask questions and get help from department experts.
For certain topics like procurement, check with your department’s purchasing contact before attending to ensure the training is relevant to your role.
The Learning, Research & Technology team offers support for digital pedagogy and digital course projects, educational media production, and technology to enhance teaching. For more information, see Teaching.
LRT also offers workshops in the spring and fall to help faculty prepare for the upcoming semester.
