Welcome to the information technology site maintained by Smith College Information Technology Services (ITS). It’s our goal to ensure that students, faculty, and staff have the access and support necessary to have a successful digital experience at Smith.
For notices about planned maintenance and active service alerts across Smith services and platforms, head to the Status page. To learn about how the site is organized and ways to browse resources or find something specific, see Using This Site. To find information about a specific topic, use the site-specific search (magnifying glass at the top of the page) or check out our A to Z Resources.
Remain vigilant about Cybersecurity! Bad actors send malicious links to try to gain access to your accounts, or use tactics like fake party invitations to trick you into downloading malware. If an email message is suspicious, don't click, and never approve a Duo request you didn't initiate. If you receive a Duo request you did not initiate, deny it and follow our instructions under Fraud Prevention with Duo.
Effective Tuesday, May 26, Adobe Express Premium and Acrobat Pro (including Distiller) will be the standard set of Adobe apps available to all faculty and staff. If your work requires Creative Cloud and you have not requested continued access, please complete the Adobe Creative Cloud License Request form on the Adobe Licensing page.
As of May 27, 2026, texted SMS passcodes and phone calls from Duo are no longer options to approve login requests. If you have any issues logging into Smith applications, contact ITS for assistance.
To learn about other ways to approve your logins, including the Duo Mobile app (recommended), see the list of Duo Device Options.
For more information about this change, visit the Duo project page.
Adobe is offering new workshops and training opportunities for the Smith community. (Reminder: All Smith employees and students have full access to Adobe Express Premium, a cloud-based visual content creation and design tool.)
For students: Adobe Express Workshops are available through the Adobe Student Academy to help students create eye catching resumes, edit photos, and learn how to generate a logo and even build a Brand Kit.
For faculty & staff: Beginning June 8–11, faculty and staff can attend the Virtual Training Conference hosted by the Adobe Education Institute, which will focus on building skills in both Adobe Express and Acrobat.
For more information and to register, visit the Adobe Express page.
